The Beef Burger

The Herbed Turkey Burger

Avocado Burger and Lemon Pepper Chicken

Ingredients (Makes 1 serving)

  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • pepper
  • Chicken breast fillets 3 oz.
  • Spray with cooking oil
  • 1 whole wheat roll
  • 1/8 medium avocado
  • 1/2 cup mixed lettuce leaves


  1. On each side, sprinkle the chicken with lemon zest.
  2. Spray a frying pan lightly with cooking oil. Heat the oil on medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for about 4-5 minutes or until it is cooked.
  3. Spread one half of the bun with avocado spread on each half. To serve, top with the chicken, lettuce, and the remaining bun.

You can make any of these recipes vegetarian or vegan by substituting the meat with tofu or another meat substitute and removing any cheese.
